Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. The actress was noticed by a talent agency who was impressed by her talents and convinced her to pursue an occupation in the entertainment field. After some thought the decision was made to leave the university to enter the entertainment industry. After being disappointed by her performances when she entered the industry, she made her film debut in Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. To show her skills she appeared in a variety of low-budget movies to enhance her acting. While it wasn't an easy task however, her determination and patience were not unrewarded. Following her triumph in Training Day, her career as an actor began to take off.
